BACKGROUND
A Kansas City based graphic designer who has honed my design craft while leading and managing marketing and communications over the last eight years, I specialize in creative direction, brand development, and cross-channel digital and print design. An artist from a young age, I made the switch from tactile to digital art halfway through my career. Having been responsible for the full range of marketing and communications for for-profit and nonprofit organizations, I take a comprehensive, integrative approach to design strategy, design planning, and design per se.
CLIENTELE
Clients I've worked with include schools, realtors, restaurants, and law firms in Kansas and Missouri.
WORK
My design work most often represents campaigns spanning multiple digital channels and print media, adapting designs to the size, proportions, and materials particular to each. Design emphases include readability, ADA accessibility, typography, color harmony, spacing, cross-material color matching, and photographic integration. My design experience spans email marketing templates, website design, logo design, social graphic design, digital display ads, print ads, event displays (e.g., banners), print collateral (office and event), digital flyers, video overlays, and more.
PRINT PUBLICATIONS
Joseph, Hollander & Craft's Year in Review (2022, 2023, 2024)
Designed for business-to-business (B2B) brand awareness and referral nurturing, JHC's Year in Review is a large format, annual print newsletter the firm sends each January to industry colleagues throughout the state of Kansas and the Kansas City metro area. From 2022–2024, I creative directed, designed, edited, and published the newsletter for the firm.
Heritage Christian Academy's 2019 Annual Report
At the turn of the 2019-2020 academic year, I creative directed, designed, edited, and published HCA's first annual report, issued in print and digital formats. Part of its broader "Seeds of Significance" fundraising campaign, I developed the overall creative direction including the concept, name, color palette, typography, photo direction, editorial direction, and data sets/presentation. I also shot many of the photos, with HCA parent and Raven Watches owner Steve Laughlin shooting the rest.

THE LEGAL ETHICS & MALPRACTICE REPORTER
The Legal Ethics & Malpractice Reporter—or LEMR—is a monthly, legal ethics journal providing commentary on current ethical issues in law practice, primarily for members of the Kansas and Missouri Bars. As design and publishing editor, I worked with KU Law professor Mike Hoeflich and JHC appellate attorney Carrie Parker to publish the LEMR in PDF, blog, and email formats from May 2021 – Feb. 2025. View archives of the LEMR at JHC's legal ethics and malpractice page.

HCA's ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN
As part of Heritage Christian Academy's 2019 capital fundraising campaign, I worked with senior leadership, board members and the fundraising team to create the thematic concept—"Seeds of Significance"—and all of the campaign's branded media and materials. The campaign consisted of multi-channel appeals for Giving Tuesday, year-end giving, and the Annual Fundraising Event utilizing a wide range of media including: email, social media, video, online giving, digital marquee displays, print flyers, overhead slides, signage, event programs, event decor, and other branded event collateral.
The HCA FarmK Fun Run
For HCA's annual mission trip fundraising event, the FarmK, I designed a website, t-shirt, banners, social graphics, flyers, large format, day-of banners, sponsor packets, and more. For both of the last two years I ran promotions for the FarmK, the event set new attendance and fundraising records.
